An epic journey gone awry. This pencil on canvas drawing captures the final flight through the air into a dragon’s cavernous jaws – seemingly catapulted there by a horny, spiked tail. We do not know if this is the Henham Dragon, Saffron Walden Cockatrice, the Essex Serpent or another scaly relative making lunch of this poor wanderer.
