‘Gumiho is a fox that has lived to 1000 years. It is blessed with shape shifting powers, often depicted as a beautiful woman with fox like characteristics. It is common in East Asian folklore, but in Korea it is especially dark and violent. It lives in the forest and lures men to their death. A small bead of knowledge is housed inside the Gumiho. It’s through this bead, transferred through a deep kiss that the fox spirit can absorb a man’s energy or soul.’
