We’re excited to share that we will be featuring your folkloric stories of Essex on Touchpoint Radio over the coming months in a series of interviews with presenter Glad Fleet.
In our first chat we discuss the Leper Stone in Newport, the origins of the persecution of women for witchcraft in Essex ( we’re looking at you King James), peacocks and ghosts!
Legendary Essex is still taking submissions for the archive and we may have another exhibition sharing the beautiful collection of postcard artwork in another Essex location later in 2026.
Our Exhibition in the Old Sun Inn in September 2025 was a great success, we were thrilled to see so many of you there in the two weeks.
A big thank you again to Culture Essex for supporting this community arts project.
Touchpoint is a fab charity who help connect people who need support with those that can offer it. Their friendly centre in Crafton Green, central Stansted Mountfitchet. (Legend Alert – Stansted is home to the legendary Percy the Peacock who you can see queuing outside the kebabery on Lower St for chips!).
Touchpoint runs a foodshare which operates from 6 different local community centres and is open to all, just turn up with a bag! Check out times and locations on their website.
