All welcome! The Legendary Essex exhibition opens on 11th September 2025 from 7-9pm at The Old Sun Inn, Saffron Walden, Essex CB10 1JW – We are in the white medieval building just off Market Square that corners Church St and Market Row (opposite Reeds).
Parking is available a short walk away at the Common car park, or Swan Meadow.
This exhibition of diverse Essex folklore stories (ancient and modern!) were contributed by residents across Essex this Summer in a community art project by Jessica Pearce and Aine Corr, supported by Culture Essex. It will run until the 20th September and is open from 10-4pm. (Closed Sunday 14th, Monday 15th September).
After this, the postcard archive will be available online and potentially travel to other venues in Essex. If you are reading this before 30th August and would like to submit a postcard with your Essex folklore story on it in picture or written form – please post it to us so we can include it in the exhibition!
