Two dragons were seen fighting on two hills, one either side of the Essex/ Suffolk border near the village of Little Cornard on the banks of the river Stour. The meadow is known to this day as Sharp Fight Meadow.
Essex = Balingdon Hill – Red
Suffolk= Beddington Hill – Black
The legend says that the fight occurred on the 26th September 1449!
