Friday 9th May. Legendary Essex are excited to be visiting the residents of Mountfitchet House Care UK Home for a folklore art workshop morning, sharing stories and making art. We have the facility to record audio stories if preferred.
Stansted Mountfitchet is home to a haunted Norman castle, and the Kebabery Peacock -a queuing, chip eating legend immortalised in several of Aine Corr’s paintings. I once arrived at Aine’s house in Stansted to see four of the castle peacocks sitting on her roof like heraldic guardians.
